2) Select the appropriate range based on the maximum load required for the experiment, and configure the corresponding pendulum and adjust the buffer.

3) Install the drive device, pen, and paper of the automatic plotter.

4) First close the oil supply valve and return oil valve, then start the hydraulic pump motor. After the hydraulic pump is working normally, open the oil supply valve to raise the movable platform by about 1 cm to eliminate its self-weight; then close the oil supply valve, adjust the pointer of the force display dial to point to zero; finally, bring the passive pointer close to the active pointer to record the peak value, and the machine should be stopped immediately after adjustment.

5) Install the test piece. If the length of the tensile test piece is different, adjust the position of the lower chuck under no-load conditions so that the clamping length is at least greater than 2/3 of the chuck length, and ensure the test piece is clamped correctly. When installing the compression test piece, it should be aligned and centered.

6) During loading, slowly open the oil inlet valve, allowing the pointer to slowly move away from the zero position, then adjust the oil inlet valve according to the speed of the pointer's deflection to control a suitable loading speed, ensuring the test piece is loaded smoothly.

7) After the experiment is completed, close the oil supply valve and immediately stop the machine, then remove the test piece (sometimes it needs to be removed after oil drainage, such as in non-fracture tests); slowly open the return oil valve to drain the oil back into the oil tank, allowing the movable platform to return to its initial position and the mechanism to restore to its original state.
