1. The pendulum should be removed during movement to avoid shaking that could damage related parts.

2. Do not place unused pendulums together with nearby items to avoid bending and deformation of the pendulum rod due to pressure.

3. The parts of the pendulum should not be disassembled or replaced arbitrarily to avoid changes in the pendulum torque and impact center position.

4. If the operating mechanism is unresponsive, and the pendulum cannot be hung or the pin cannot be detached, the relevant parts can be disassembled, cleaned with kerosene, and a small amount of lubricant applied before reassembling in the original position.

5. If there are no abnormal reasons, the pointer should point to the zero position on the dial after an empty strike, and the computer display should show 0. If the pointer deviates from the zero position by more than 0.1% of the corresponding maximum impact energy of the pendulum after an empty strike, and the display is not 0, then check the following points: whether the cantilever beam pendulum impact testing machine is leveled properly, whether the position of the active needle is adjusted correctly and tightened, whether the pendulum rod is bent or deformed, whether the friction of the testing machine has increased, and ensure that the nut and flange cover are securely tightened to prevent axial movement of the ball bearing and pendulum shaft. Check for signs of wear on the working surfaces of the hanging pin and hook. The distance between the magnetic coil of the electromagnetic clutch and the armature should be appropriate. If the three steel balls on the armature end face contact the magnetic coil end face when the power is off, it will increase the friction force. The distance between these two should be 1.2 to 2 mm, which is adjusted at the factory.

6. If the swing fails, it may be due to the motor belt being too loose or a fault in the electromagnetic clutch. In this case, it is necessary to adjust the belt tension and repair the electromagnetic clutch to eliminate the fault.
